Hey everybody! So I’m not necessarily new to burning wood but I am new to it being my only source of heat. I have a Timberline insert, using it as just a stove in a very old single wide trailer I am currently working on. I’m wondering if anyone has any input on my best bet for enclosing it and using a blower for the return from the other end?

What clearances do you have for the stove?? What hearth do you have?? Have you checked with your insurance company old timberlines are not approved for manufactured homes. They probably wont insure it.

I’m good with the insurance company as long as I have it inspected. No hearth I have the stove setup with black pipe to ceiling then triple wall thru attic and roof. I want to build the hearth accordingly and incorporate a blower an cold air return for circulation. What specifically do you mean for clearances?

Temporary hearth is cement board*** I would like to utilize as much of the black pipe but still be able to someway enclose the “insert” portion of stove with a blower...... Madness I know, trying to be creative this place had to last me five years until I can build.. I really appreciat any input.

If you want to enclose it that enclosure. would need to be a built to code fireplace.
The hearth is what the stove sits on. I was wondering what you have under the stove. And what clearances you have around it
