I have a Timberline sharpener and love it. It does a fantastic job of creating a nearly razor sharp chain, much better than I could ever do with a file. However as we all know, it does nothing to correct the depth gages/rakers as the chain is sharpened. As I understand it, as the cutters change with sharpening a progressive gage should be used, so the gage that comes with the Stihl file kit is pretty much useless, correct? So what gage should be used? I have .50 3/8 Stihl and Husky chains?

THANKS GANG!!!
