Good morning guys.

So my folks are currently building a new house. My father is looking to buy an insert for his main floor. The insert won't be used for main source of heat. It will be used for back up heat and ambiance during Christmas time and occasionally for heat. He wont need a huge insert but would like a nice large viewing capabilities to see the fire rolling. He would like to have a blower on the unit.

The chimney will need to be Tripple wall all the way through. It will not be going through masonry.

We would like to get some recommendations from you guys for both the insert and chimney. As far as budget goes they will want top of the line.

Thank you all for your help.

You need to be looking at prefabricated fireplaces, not inserts. An insert needs to be inserted into a fireplace that's existing. The options would be an open fireplace(very inefficient) or high efficiency prefab fireplaces. The high efficiency units will be more expensive but will heat the place.

The Flame Monaco is a good value. Same parent company as the Osburn. Should do the job.
