Ok the senario is:
You have access to 7 acres of woods that has just been logged. It is mainly red oak, pinn oak, white oak, and a few maples. What is left is the stump cutoffs, tops, and part of the logs that were to short to sell. (8ft or less). Diameters range from 8"-30"
Would it be more efficient to spend the time to cut and split the wood as I cut it. Or would I be better off to spend the time cutting the tops into 8ft lengths and taking the rest of the logs and stacking them next to were I'm going to stack the firewood in the lean-to. Which is 1/4 Mile away from the logged area.
