I had some time to clean the chimney today. Probably about 1-1/2 to 2 cords worth have been burned since the last cleaning. I was surprised that I got more creosote than previous cleanings. About a coffee can full (more or less) of granular to powdery "dirt". I did add a section of flue on this year, so have about 12' sticking out above the roof. Could a longer flue have made a difference in a colder flue causing a little more creosote buildup? This is an insulated Selkirk flue.
