HogWildz nailed it; it is the metal parts of a wooden bar clamp, essentially supplied as is for the wood worker to furnish his/her own "bar" or stock of wood. I have several in my collection, the fore-runner of the modern pipe clamp, the bar can be any length required for glue up jobs.
 
it could also be part of a press clamp where you make a frame to hold that and then use it to press down usually for veneering but i could be wrong for sure
 
I thought it was a clamp from a drill press "vise"but prop too long
 
That looks like part of a tail vise, maybe missing a couple of pieces.
