Almost looks Ash-ish but hard to say for sure...

No bugs now, good working temps, I don't know, I bet it's makes it in this year.

My 2 cents would go on Basswood. For your sake though, I hope it is Ash.
 
I always try to cut those type after the snow has melted. If not until Spring, so be it. Zap, you don't have many ash there do you?

Not many Sav, I've cut one good size ash up top that mother nature took down then a smaller one up top in a different area, thats it. We do have some on the property the house sits on.

Thanks for the I.D.s, that is one of the old trails up the backside to that hill which needs clearing so next spring we will find out.
