I know.. no pic at the moment!
But.. I'm getting ready to put solar on the barn roof. Guy gets up there and has this gizmo that takes a pic, and plots on there the sun's path.
It shows every month, and will show which trees are shading your proposed system. He shows me a BIG oak that's in the way, and a couple maples that could go. In reality, they aren't that bad, because leaves will be gone when sun is low on the horizon. He says..it's a couple percent. But, looking around, you don't seem like a guy that will have an issue hacking a couple trees (i've got 30 cord log length waiting for me)
So.. I head out on Saturday showing some old friends the new barn. The big oak, that I frankly was going to do some serious trigonometry on (height of it scared me. It's on the border of my land, with 14k volt power line.. I REALLY didn't want to take out the lines!)
So.. on a morning with light winds.. big old oak, and the 12' one next it it blew right over. Guess the lines were ok! I'll be real careful and start working it from the top down. Gonna be a lot of wood in there. When it rains, it pours! That oak will be for 2018 or so at least.
Pics when I get back home.
