I just got my maxx all hooked up and started running it. I have been very happy with it, it heats my 2 story, 2000 sqft house from the basement to ~65f on heat level 3 of 5. This is with pure convection up the stair wells. I may duct it to the first floor to make it a bit more efficient but it seems to be pretty effective. I have a few questions for you pros:

1. The manual says to set the exhaust damper on max heat output by measuring the vacuum in the combustion chamber to .14-.15 in H20. Is this a set in stone figure, or will it vary depending on pellet type and what not?

2. For some reason the fan on the auger motor strikes the outdoor intake pipe. I just used 3" galvanized steel pipe I picked up at home depot. I ended up using some rope to pull the pipe away from the auger motor so it wouldn't hit. Is this just some weird issue with my unit or have other people had this issue?

3. The stove has trouble staying lit on heat level 2. I had to run the auger trim at max and the combustion blower at minimum to keep it from burning the pellets faster than they feed. Is this a pellet quality issue? I am using lignetics hardwood.

Thanks
