I got a USFS permit this morning. It was the first time hauling wood with my T100 so I was kind of conservative. I could have loaded it more. My dad's had his GMC forever and it's hauled an unbelievable amount of wood. Never a question of how it'll do with a load.
We got mostly alder with some hemlock and bigleaf maple mixed in. Done and headed home by 12:30. I'm sore and left my splitting for tomorrow. I talked to my dad and he had already unloaded his truck and split some. He'll slow down one of these days.

The old man even scored full protective gear when he bought his used Husky.

Looks like a fun day.
More on the toy, but maybe need sideboards ) :)

How much is the permit $ per cord ?
How many trip do yo plan ?

Let me guess, you got a new stihl & got the knife thrown in ;)

Permit is $20 for 2 cords/4 pickup loads. It's good for 2 weeks. I'll get 2 more loads before it expires. I got the knife when I picked up some files at a dealer near work. They were giving knives to new customers.

Are you packin' in case of bears, or wood thieves? ;lol

Finished off the permit today after spending the morning at a friend's house helping cut some trees he dropped. We scored some bigleaf maple that's pretty dry, a bunch of hemlock, and a little alder to top it off. I have a lot of splitting to do in the next few days. This is probably the last I'll cut until fall.
