Why does the stove need adjustments by harman before you hook one of these up?

Based on that link, it appears the Harmans need adjusting to run with a modified sine wave UPS. We'd have to look at the electronics to know exactly why. Many LED light bulbs, for example, can have dimming problems because the incoming waveform isn't a sine wave. Ones that are dimmable need circuitry to handle the non sine wave pattern.

A pure sine wave inverter matches the grid's waveform so no changes are needed.

On the XXV TC it says to press "continue" on LCD Panel.

For Knob it says below:


Tripp Lite APS750 or Tripp Lite APS700HF
1. Turn on Dip Switch #4 (continues operation) Dip Switch #4 Power failure shudown. Factory set OFF
2. Connect the inverter/charger to the stove

I just picked up Aims 1250 Watt 12V Pure Sine Wave Inverter Charger PICOGLF12W12V120AL

Inverter R US, you can get free Energy Meter Monitor. This one is Pure Since Wave. Why they recommend ones that are not is beyond me. You have to switch dip switch on couple of the ones they recommend. Some may not be able to do that.

If you do get Inverter get big battery if you can move it. I wanted 200ah, but too heavy for me. Settled for 100ah. Numbers says 8.2 hours run time or 1/2 at 50% discharge.

So after looking at the website can I connect the Tripp Lite APS700HF to a generator with the AC input and run my Harman all day long?

if you read the description of the unit scroll down to where it says features and look above that. it says it will charge the battery while delivering AC power to connected equipment. so you would figure hooking it directly to a generator then to the stove would work
