Hello

Most of the pellet stove manufacturers have told their control board makers to make one circuit board for all their different model stoves. It makes the boards easier for the service guy to have a board that will work and the board pricing is kept from escalating out of control. Also it is a good time for the board manufacturer to get those important mods, new chip algorythms and any important feature or change in that is on their secret SPR (System Problem Report) list as we called it in the softwre industry into the new control boards.

Therefore, knowing the older Enviro Max and Mini has some issues running on the lower heat settings, we popped in a new circuit board with new decal into a 6 year old Enviro Mini. Who knows what other good fixes are in there!

The new board has the Room Air Fan On/Off button on the board in the lower left but is not used in all models. Therefore, the program chosen for the model stove that does not require it, as in the case of the Mini just locks it out and the Mini Decal just covers it up. However the trick here is when programming the board for your model stove, you have to press thiis button along with the the Feed Rate Trim and Combustion Air trim simultaneously to program the board! LOL

So if you have the light gray decal and the 3 position manual, auto-on/off and auto-hi/low slide switch in the horizontal position above the other buttons you have the old board. The new board has a vertical (Up/Down) slide switch.

Enviro Model Programs from sheet in link below
Program 1: same as 3000 circuit
board parameter – for all pellet stoves
with the exception of units listed with
programs #2, 3, 4. – One flash
Program 2: Convection fan button
disabled – Empress FS – two flashes.
Program 3: 60,000 Btu feed rate –
Maxx – three flashes
Program 4: 50,000 Btu feed rate –
Maxx – four flashes
Note: To achieve 70,000 Btu, for Maxx
only, you need to trim up the feed rate
on program 3.

Has anyone else done this upgrade? Any comments?

Very nice! Thanks for the pics!
Does your stove run better with the new board?

I had a ice storm last winter cause a power surge and fry my board on my Maxx. I had to buy a new board. (surge protector now installed) When I ordered it I was told I also needed a $55 decal because the board has been updated. After I installed it the stove was doing all kinds of weird things. I called the dealer and suggested I had a bad board. After a week of arguing they finally asked Enviro about the problem. I was then asked if I had programed the board after I installed it. No was the answer and how do I do that? Did I not read the instructions?. What instructions? The instructions that came with the board. No instructions came with it. With in half an hour they emailed me the instructions and I programed the board. Got to the step where it says to push the room air button and its not there. What the ??? .Screwed around for a while and then realised the button is there but the new decal is wrong and is hiding the button. Called dealer back to tell them its the wrong decal. More arguing. Even Enviro says its the right one.. Even on the instructions they send it gave a different part number for the decal. After 2 weeks Enviro sent the right decal and I installed it. Now they want the old one back. More arguing that its been installed and that you sent me the wrong one and how would I no it was the wrong one. Any way I have the old decal half destroyed from removing it because the self sticking back would hold a bumper on a Buick and they have stopped calling. Long story short the new board is great. I love it that I can set the cumbustion blower speed now. The only thing I did notice was the last time I turned it off for cleaning the room fan didn't kick on to cool the stove down. I am wondering if I need to push that room fan button once. Any way still lovin my Maxx now that its all fixed.
