Hello Was wondering if anyone could help me with a question . On start up of my us bay window 5660 stove how long should the auger run or should it cycle on and off? On my stove it stays on for 9min on heat level 2. The problem I'm having is that the pellets are not all burning all the way down. At clean up the burn pot has about half of inch at the bottom of the pot. Don't know if that is to many pellet on the start up or something else going on. Any feed back would be great. Thanks

Done. You're in the Pellet Room now.

Hello Tony, I don't have that model stove but I do own a similar one. On start up the auger should run at full speed for several mins enough to fill the pot (never timed it myself). During normal operation if you have build up in your pot you can adjust two different settings. The first is the draft fan, sometimes its best to set the draft fan 1 or 2 settings higher than your feed rate. Try adjusting that and see if it takes care of the problem. If it doesn't I can walk you through changing the feed rate. When making any adjustment its best to let the stove run for about a hour or two before making another change.

I would have to time mine, but it is definitely not nine minutes running continuously. I have fire in about three and a half minutes. Seems like soon after that it begins on/off cycling.

Is this a new stove? What brand of pellets? How is your venting set up?

Just timed it, 3 minutes 10 seconds to flame and the auger switched from constant to cycle at 3 minutes 30 seconds.

Hello, upon start up i can not change any setting until the 12min start up cycle is done. And then i can only change the heat range or the fan for the hot air. I did the dollar bill test around the door and it failed so i replace all the rope seal and resealed the fire box. let you know if this help. I would still like to know how and if i could change the the feed rate

Stove is a year old, I use premium pellet bought from a pellet stove store. one foot off back of stove to tee up three feet to a 90 out one foot. The bought the vent kit from tsc. I just resealed the whole stove. after reading about the dollar bill test and failing. Hope that does it let you know

I just found the ash drawer gasket leaking real bad on mine. I added some self stick flat gasket material around the opening to remedy. Also look closely at the burn pot gasket. I had to replace my original one with 5/8" rope as it had a large gap in the front allowing a bypass. I replace the burnpot gasket every year.

I also stuffed a length of 1/2" gasket rope in the airwash channel. The airwash did not work well anyway!! The more air through the burnpot, on this stove, the better it runs! With the right pellets, I can go 6-7 days without opening the door.

Just replaced both those gasket. Will see if it helped in the morning
