I was wondering if anyone has some real life experiance with the us stoves sold at the local Farm and Fleet?
I have been thinking about the summer heat stove but I recently recieved a gift cert. and was wondering about the us stove.

I have a US Stove model similar to the 1500 version they sell at TSC... It heats my house just fine.... a little wasteful in the wood dept. but it will make some heat.

Good basic furnaces, should get at least 10 years out of it. Good heat, wood hog, burns kinda dirty. You should look into the PSG Epa certified furnaces. We sell them locally here and have heard only good things about them. They also qualify for the tax credit.

I'm pretty sure, PSG and US stove are all part of the same huge company anyhow.

I'd talk to my boss to see if he'd buy your gift certificate. Then you could get a real furnace.
Look at Yukon's wood furnaces.
Hit the link in my signature.
The tax credit is applicable and you'll get a furnace that needs half the wood that a US Stove will eat with twice to three times the burn times.

Which US Stove are you considering?

Well after some investigation the US stove is not epa approved in the size that I want and the Summer Heat is so looks like I am back to the Summer Heat and I will use the cert. for something else. thanks
