Have an old set of propane fireplace logs and burners etc., can I hook these up outdoors with a propane tank? If so any ideas on how to safely do this? Thanks!

You can, but you need to know a little about plumbing
& you need to use a regulator between the tank
& the gas valve attached to the log set.
If you have the gas hose with the regulator on it,
the correct fittings are available at hardware stores.
All threaded fittings, unless you're using brass to brass,
will require pipe dope rated for LP gas.
All connections need to be leak tested.
