VC Dauntless primary air vent

Where is the primary air vent located on the Vermont casting’s dauntless and how do I access it? Trying to go about cleaning it out but can’t for the life of me locate it in the stove.

Normally, one does not clean out a primary air vent. If the stove is performing poorly the problem usually points to either weak draft or poorly seasoned wood.
