I am installing a lennox mldvt-40nm direct vent fireplace. My wall is about 3.75 inches thick from the inside to the outside 1/2 wood siding which has vinyl siding. The unit is 16 in deep and I will vent it horizontally to the outside. I would like to put about 3 inches of the unit recessed into the wall. I am looking to buy a termination unit and I was looking at the SV45HTKCT Compact Termination SV4.5
I only have about 1.5 inches from the flex elbow connected on the back of unit to the outside wall. Do the termination units connect directly to the elbow or is a adapter required. If I use the adapter the termination unit will be 3 inches too long. Are the adapters required or can I connect directly to the elbow.
