Hello everyone. It's that time of year again and I'm running into an issue with the vogelzang 5770. The stove just stopped feeding pellets and was working fine before that. Initially I thought it was a simple jamming of pellets, so I emptied the auger, then sucked out the remaining pellets with my shop vac. Then I checked if anything was still stuck with a flash light but everything was clean and clear. After that I figured it was the auger motor, so I replaced it. But it's still doing the same thing. As of now I am still in the process of elimination trying to figure out what to do next. Can it be the pressure switch ? I don't want to just keep buying parts without a better diagnosis. Any advice would be great. Thanks

Pressure switches are usually good, but if you want to jumper it (if you know how to do it safely), that could be a good start to troubleshooting the problem.

I really don't think it's the pressure switch either (never jumped it before) . The trouble shooting that I did was clearing the Hopper and as far as I could see down with a flash light. Do you think that any pellets could be stuck further down ? Should I go underneath and take the auger out too ? I've never been in this situation before where the pellets aren't being released. Even though I've installed a new auger motor. Trying to find out what other things I can try.

You could try a test run with the auger motor not mounted onto the auger. That way you would be proving the stove vacuum is OK, and the motor runs with no load. If that all works, you can go after the jammed auger.

Hi guys, no there isn't any codes coming up, but I will definitely try the tests mentioned. If you guys should think of anything else please let me know. Thanks for the help 👍
