HI all. I am looking at buying a WoodPro 2.0 stove that will go on a tiled (on slab) corner in my house.

There is an old through-wall window AC (in the same location) about six or seven feet up. We've never used it and I've been meaning to just take it out and have it professionally covered/drywalled and exterior siding.

My question is: Is there a way to take advantage of this to run an elbowed stove exhaust out of? If so what are the issues (not sure how I would fill the rest of the hole). I would like something better than say a steel plate with a hole in it.

Will the tile/slab floor be sufficient or do I need a hearth pad?

Thanks for any and all advice.

RE: When going through a wall you should have a wall pass through connection . . . which may possibly be used to go out through the AC hole.

Tile/slab floor . . . if this is truly a cement slab floor you should be fine with most any stove . . . some stoves have a specific insulation value, but if you are installing directly on to a cement slab I believe you should be fine.
