Hello I’ve been referring to this site a lot but finally hit a obstacle I need to ask about. I am installing a wood stove in my home and the stove repeatedly states the specs for the floor pad the stove must sit on but there is no mention of a wall shield for the heat. Do some stoves not need a wall shield if the distance requirements are followed?

No wall shielding is necessary if the minimum clearance requirements are met or exceeded. Our stove, for example, has none.
