Wanted: Suggestions for Indoor Wood Storage

You really inspired me with this one. I love the look.

When looking at pictures of other things constructed with old pallets I came across this nice wood box.

Thanks! I like that box, may have to give that a go! I added some pecan satin poly shades stain/sealer to my table last night. I like the look a lot better now.

It's a really nice rustic look. Do you have the planks running east-west on the top and north-south on the bottom?

All boards run the same way . . . east to west.

Why the pen, do they run away?

I no longer allow them to free roam . . . keeps them safe . . . along with the local bird population.

I have on of those. Problem is it leaves a mess everywhere.

I have also used my cart like this and put the 18 gal bins in the cart. You can get 2 on safely. But again, plastic bins a nonstarter in my house. And yes the wheels are too small and hard rubber, great for hardwood floors, but not for the trip from the wood stacks.

These are nice for moving wood. The double wheels make it much more stable to move around. Much more stable than I would have thought. Plus the large size you can load lots of wood. This is the exact one I bought. I think with a single wheel one alot of energy with a heavy load of wood goes to just balancing the thing from tipping one way or the other, with the double wheel you dont have that and you can wheel much bigger loads much easier.

I've been using a single wheeled wheelbarrow to move recently cut wood to the splitter and wood pile. Yes, a lot of energy goes into balancing the load.

It's a little hard to see, its the only picture I have at the moment. It's a very old wood box made from 1x6's. It's been painted over the years and now has a nice rustic patina. It holds several days of wood.
