Weedblock?

I just got my catalog from Burgess and it got me to thinking about spring and the vegetable garden. (I’ve already had enough of feeding the furnace)
I’m tired of the annual battle with weeds, so I’d like to put down some kind of weedblock, but all the ones I’ve used in the past have disintegrated after one season.
My vegetable beds are 4x12 so I’d like something that’s comes in 4’ widths.
Anybody have recommendations on a good brand and source?

Friends have had good lock with black plastic.

I suggest googling lazagna gardening it uses newspaper. Used clear plastic before you plant to germinate unwanted seeds with sun.

I just see so much of that stuff disintegrating in place. I don't want plastic in my soil! Heavy mulch of shredded leaves works for me. I started these beds with lasagna

Lots of organic mulch is the way for me...no or very little weeds and decent soil conditioning built in.
