What happened to the Quadra-Fire Edge 60 Pellet-Burning Fireplace?

Hi,

I remember when I was looking at pellet stoves and stumbled across these on a few websites...but I don't see it anywhere anymore, so I assumed it was discontinued rather promptly. Just curious if anybody knows why...seems like a nice solution for a new build or a remodel. Here is a page I found with a video of someone at Quadrafire demonstrating it. I think its sharp (there were four finish doors to choose from I guess). Just curious if anyone knows what happened.

I think it went the way of the buffalo, do to lack of interest.

That is my guess too. People either want a real fire-wood fireplace, or they go with gas.

Just seemed like an interesting idea, and it pulls out like the Harman inserts.

MY wife and I were in Wyoming and South Dakota two years ago and were very interested in the buffalo. Quite the majestic, large, I don't care about anything, beast. LOL
