I think maybe a grandpa bear wood stove? Says fisher 1982 on the side sticker. I am wanting to pull it out and put an electric stove insert in and was wondering what this was worth. Any information helps. Thanks!

A "Stove" is a freestanding appliance with legs or pedestal. This is a Fireplace Insert made for installation into an existing fireplace.

This Fisher model was called "Brass and Glass" Fireplace Insert. You can see a brochure in the
"Brochure thread" on this Forum.
Depending on measurements it could be the smaller Honey Bear. It looks small in the picture since the handles appear to be higher than the top of doors. Same handles are used on the full size Insert so the handles don't look as large on those. The tag should give model name.
If it says "Fisher fireplace Insert" that is the full size Insert. No bear name given. The glass design was flat on top like that during the series III models. Later glass doors had angled top opening and were designated IV.

A Grandpa Bear is a freestanding wood stove with 4 legs much wider than a full size insert and far larger than a Honey Bear. (about twice the size)

In your state only EPA certified apliances are legal to install. Whatever buyer and seller agree upon. Other states that allow non-certified stoves would draw a premium since it is UL listed. Prices are also seasonal. Here we have hard woods, and electric is removed with these in high demand.
