Hello,

What size hole saw do I need to make the hole for the wall thimble installation. Thanks, ben

The hole is 7 1/2" - 7 1/2" square according to the Duravent manual.

that depends on which thimble you have
One came with my stove (probably Harmans) and I bought the duravent kit
which came with a thimble and its the 7 1/2 one the last post is talking about,
the harman one is 9' inch circle.

Hole saw?

I draw the circle, use a couple pilot holes with a 3/4" or 1" spade bit and connect the dots with a saw zall.

Eric

The wall thimble i have uses a 6" hole saw. Simply mark out your 3" middle for your stove alignment on the wall and measure from the center of the 3" for the 6" cut and use the hole saw with drill bit centered in the 3" to cut the hole.
