What type of Chestnut is this?

I have this tree out back, it appears to be a Chestnut variety, but I'm having trouble nailing down what type exactly, any thoughts?
What type of Chestnut is this?

I agree. American chestnut.
 
Very cool. How large is the tree? I know the ACF and also the forestry school (SUNY ESF) are working hard to develop a blight resistant American Chestnut. ESF has put an APB out in upstate NY for anyone that has a healthy tree on their land. They are trying to get as much genetic diversity on from the ones that seem to be doing well. Wouldn't be the worst idea to get in touch with your local chapter of the ACF.
