Whats best way to remove melted plastic

Whats best way to remove melted plastic from the stove?
I hit the bag on top of the stove and it melted the plastic bag onto the stove.
It doesnt want to come off...
ive tried both hot and cold stove...but it doesnt want to scrap off or peel off.

how do others remove melted plastics etc from the stove??

Time Machine???? When you go back in time, stop the plastic from hitting the hot stove.... Good Luck........

use a utility knife blade. Be Careful

Steel wool worked when my son put his big feet on the stove and melted his slipper. This won't work well on a smooth finish, but worked great for me.
