I am replacing a Kent tile fire that has seen better days in a house that I recently bought. The house is an old farm house from the 1870s, 1275 sqft, with the stove in the basement, adding another 350 sqft. It's fairly drafty but has been insulated the best it can for a 150 year old house. I'm located in Central NY, lots of snow wind and cold. I have 6in, 30ft ss chimney liner in an existing masonry chimney.
My budget is $1000. I've been scouring Craigslist and haven't really found anything. Besides some old rough looking timber lines and a couple dutchwest stoves.

I'm trying to find a stove that will take an 18" log as all my wood I cut is 18" for the Kent. I just need a stove for a few years until I can replace it with a wood furnace which is out of the budget right now? I'd like to have a stove asap. I'm tired of burning propane.
