Fireside and MWP @$209 are #1 and #1a
Haven't tried Corinth or Geneva, and anything over $300 a ton is just no comparison. They'd have to be well over 10,000btu pellets for them to be a good value.

Home Despot has Lignetics for $219 here in RI. $350 is insane.

Here in Connecticut wear everything is over priced. Homedepot green supreme witch seems to be wrking well with my Harman is $219 a ton.

At those price points FSU's are a no-brainier, head and shoulder above MWP, Corinth-Meh, haven't tried Geneva's, Cubex and Liggie's at $350, NO effin' way!

MWP not good for below 25 degrees.
Lignetics not worth that price.
Cubex always gets rated very high ,but expensive.
Geneva depending on price is the bang for your buck.

I don't personally have experience with most of those. I have burned the MWP mixed and they seemed decent. I agree about the others over $300. I have tried the Cubex and they burned pretty well. I bought my Vermonts for $250/ton, which I Iiked better than the Cubex. $350 for any pellet seems insane.

Let's hope the prices on the Ligs and Cubex were typos. I can see ODF's being $350 in Maine, but not those others.

My vote is for the FSU's.

I just bought a ton of Lignetics two days ago at my local Home Depot for $208.00, so not sure why anyone would have them for $350.

Depends where in Maine you live. If its up north and it gets real cold then you are going to need something with a little higher BTU. Also depends on the size of your house, if you are trying to heat the complete house or just using the stove part time. Also depends on the stove you are using.
With all that said I use the MWP as shoulder pellets, and burn them when it is 15 or so and above, then I use the Cubex for when it is cold out and is going to stay cold. Yes the Cubex are expensive but there is no comparison on heat output. So I would go Cubex 1 for when its cold out and MWP Blend for any other time of year.

Go for the FSUs. By far the best value for the buck...IMHO.

I have burned all of the above except Corinth. Here how I would rate them.
1 FSU - GREAT value for the price - burns hotter than MWP and Geneva and similar to Ligs. Absolutely your best option given the prices IMO.
2 MWP -OK pellet at 209, although the previous post is correct, they aren't really effective in extreme cold.
3 Geneva - burned better than MWP for me but I am not sure if it was $40/ton better. If you were able to find them for the same price as MWP I would rate them #2
4 Cubex - great pellet but NO WAY are they 140/ton better than FSU
5. Ligs - I am burning them now and love them. I got them for 209/ton at HD. Again, not worth 350.

Disclaimer....I have a daughter in college so my opinion is heavily influenced by price.

I didn't see that you were in Maine. Most Home Depots in Southern Maine have ligs/presto logs ( seems to be same pellet) for 209/ton. I don't know if that would be an option for you. If not then FSU is your best bet.

I also vote FSU, they are great this season. A great bang for the buck IMO. Almost through 3 tons and just picked up another 3 for good measure. I tried running Spruce Points softwoods for a week to compare against the FSU's during a colder spell about a month back. Though the Spruce Points were a tad hotter and produced a wee bit less ash, I couldn't justify the $80 per ton difference at all.
