I don't know about that particular stove. But I definitely think it would be unwise to make any compromise over a three week waiting period.
That is really trivial for a stove you'll hopefully be using for many years. And even this year you will have it for almost all of the heating season.
Many people waited months to get the stove they wanted. Get what you really want and you'll be hot by Thanksgiving.

As I look at the numbers the enerzone might be better. It has a larger fire box 2.3 vs PE at 1.4, bigger log lenghth 20" vs 18"
Don't really see a downside.

My understanding is that the PE Classic firebox is not 1.4 cu ft, but a hair under 2.0 cu ft. at 1.97 cu ft.. But if you are getting a great deal on the Enerzone it could be the better value.
Looking over the forum it seems the enerzone is made by the same people who make the Doret. The doret in grangier magazine seems like a great deal if it the same unit. They apear the same. except the price

There was nothing wrong with the post. Sorry if I sounded terse. You would do well with either stove so get the one that had the features and looks that you like.
thanks Begreen & fossil, for clarifying, i thought my first post was inappropriate for this forum,but it is nice to feel welcome as the new guy. Regency is very well known for their quality,but i like the enviro's larger glass, i just don't want to invest the money when i don't know that much about the enviro. it seems like they have a similar warranty to the regency. I think i'll go ahead with the kodiak unless someone has had a bad experience with one.

don't want much in the way of high heat output I don't think. I just want a highly efficient wood stove
with a glass front to put in my 14' x 20' living room to take the "edge off" and provide a little romance.
We have been using an old, tin box stove for years but it needs to be replaced. Any suggestions as to
what to look at? My house is about 15 years old, well built and insulated.

jjmelt - Drolet stoves are also made by SBI. They make some good solid stoves. Be sure you are looking at the EPA tested models.
manser - I haven't heard a bad word against the Kodiak. It looks like a good heater. You should be a happy camper, especially with more money in your pocket.
waterflea - start a new post so that you can get a bit more attention to your specific needs. Let us know what size house you are heating as well. From the sounds of things an Englander 13NC is not a big investment and might fit the bill.
