Hi All, I'm new here - I recently bought a house with an Advantage II-T in it. I've spend quite a bit of time going over this forum as well as a couple other websites, but no one seems to have had the problem I'm running in to. When I turn it on, the auger motor turns continuously regardless of where I have the knob turned to on the control board. The only thing I can think of is that the potentiometer is bad, but I haven't pulled it apart to test yet. Any suggestions on how to proceed or any other ideas of things to check out would be greatly appreciated!

I'm pretty sure I already have the new style control board (part # PSC120A/230A-3766). I was hoping to see a bad resistor or something obviously wrong on the back of the control board that I could fix easily. Nothing is popping out at me so I'll probably try to have it rebuilt. I just don't want to pay for that if there's something else I should check beforehand
Hi Mountainman83, welcome to the forum. I've attached the service manual to this post. Just click on the icon below this text and you're ready to read.
The service manual will, among many other things, enable you to determine exactly what type of control board you have in your stove.
And since you're not the original owner of the stove, you can never tell if the previous owner has been fiddling with the auger motor wiring, so please scrutinize the wiring diagram in the manual to verify if everything is ok in the stove.
If it turns out that the control board is faulty, I suggest that you send it to David in Canada for repair. Unfortunately this repair ( shipping time included ) may last several weeks, so I hope you have some alternative heating, but it's a "warming feeling" to know that you save hundreds of $ having the old board repaired in stead of buying a new one.

Yes, I get parts at my local stove store, they used to sell Whitfield stoves, and they still service them.
Just Google "Whitfield parts" and you'll find a few places that sell parts.
