Will a Ash Trap work with a Fireview?

Will a Ash Trap work with a Fireview? There is an 8" ash trap and the side loading door on the Fireview is 8". If anyone has the 8" ash trap, can you measure to see the exact width, or if you have a Fireview and an ash trap, does it fit thru the door ok. Thanks. Jeff
