Need help on this one, stove shut off when not home, over temp switch blown, replaced , started up , convection motor making squealing noise, oiled and made sure motor was working, restarted and unit working ok, ordered a new convection blower , while waiting for blower to arrive , motor started to make noise again. I shut unit down, re oiled and tested off of unit to make sure it would spin, hooked it up to 110 direct, blower seemed to be ok, cleaned entire unit, flue passages , vent pipe etc. reinstalled and unit works. Week later motor starts making bad noise , so I shut unit off. Try to restart and now I'm not getting past ignition stage, seems to not be sensing proof of fire, because it stops feeding and dies out. I replaced over temp switch, proof of fire switch, convection motor and switch, combustion blower and circuit board. I am still starting , lighting, fire in burn pot and then it just stops feeding pellets and goes out, giving me an ignition error. Auger is feeding pellets during ignition stage just fine, one thing I did notice is the ignition light does not go off when convection blower starts, it still seems like it does not sense proof of fire? Any help would be appreciated, this is my 6th year burning with this unit and after putting all these new parts in it would like to get it back running for another 6 or so. Thought I would try here before calling the tech service, they want $169 just to come out.

Is it possible that you have a short on the wiring for the ignitor? Ignitor has a fuse have you checked/replaced that? Have you ever replaced the ignitor?
PS - hope you kept that old board and got it repaired so you have a back-up
Many replace the bearings in blowers and re-install or keep as back-up too...
Edit: Have you checked your vac switch line while you're in there
Always unplug the stove when you're working on it! Don't want to short the board...

Thank you for your response, igniter works and ignites pellets , fire starts and runs then stops feeding , if you re push start button it will go back to ignition stage and continue running until the ignition time does not sense fire, I replaced igniter 3 years ago, vac line is clear.Is it possible that you have a short on the wiring for the ignitor? Just checked wiring , all looks good , I will retry starting it and move the wires when running to see if that tells me there is a loose connection or not, and your right the wiring harness could be a little longer . How do you test the pof switch to see if it opens/closes at correct temp?
I was thinking of an ohm meter to see if it would give a reading once it came up to temp
Yes but that just says switch on or off if you want temp you need to measure the thermodisc itself for temp and continuity
Well still not sure where the issue is, I restarted the unit after moving some wires around and it is now working, then it stopped feeding went back into ignition phase and started working again.???, although all the connections look good I'm thinking somewhere there is a loose connection. For now it is working, I will eventually shut it down and go thru all of the connections to see if I can find and repair anything that looks bad. So it got a good cleaning and a lot of new parts , as long as I can find the connection issue I should not have any more problems for a while. Thank you all for your responses. Stay warm.
