We helped someone on this forum size and install a large PV system down north or south Carolina a year or so ago. If I remember he ended up with ground mount and the inverters with the plug in outlets for emergency power (I also think he had a generator. I wonder how his system survived with the nasty weather down there?
 
If it was designed well then it could be ok. That is as long as no tree fell on it. That just happened to my sister's garage. Western NC did better than the eastern side.
