Wood ID please

I got a cord delivered yesterday, stacked it up and it measures out to a cord which is really impressive considering it was a CL dealer. But he runs a small landscaping company and says he is selling wood because of all the Sandy logs he has.
Here is the stack:

The pallets are all 4x4 feet.

The one bad thing is that I smelled pine immediately after he left and think I found some but want this forum's opinion since I cannot ID wood very well at all.
Here are the best pics I got this morning:

The first one is a big chunk, and the last two pictures are the same split front and back. It smiles pine fresh.
There are not that many of them, and I am not going to complain, I just want to know.

Chazcarr, From your pics it looks like you have two different types of wood. One rough bark and another a smooth bark. Pine is a rough bark type of wood. Split a piece and see if it is sticky and smells pine like. It will burn but not as good as others. The smooth bark wood looks like a Hickory to me. Just my $.02 worth

Pic #1 is cottonwood. The grain in #2 looks like sweetgum to me. Not sure about #3

For clarification, Number 2 and number 3 are the same split from front to back. #1 is a different light feeling split I am concerned about.

Ah okay sorry I didn't read that far. Well that bark doesn't look like any gum I've ever had. I'm just about positive the first one is cottonwood

Damn!, you guys got me all hopeful at first, but I must agree, this stuff doesn't seem like good firewood. It is really light for its size so can't possibly pack the BTUs.

Still, I didn't get a lot of it so I won't complain. I know these are all yard trees and they were only split two days before delivery. Most of the pile is hickory and there are a few dozen large red oak splits that I plan to resplit smaller soon.

Thanks for the help. I really was hoping the tree of heaven would never make it into my stove. Maybe I will save it for camping or when someone I don't particularly like asks for some wood.
