Wood stove blower temp switch

Howdy,
I wasn't getting very far searching for this on the forum but I was thinking about getting a temp switch for my blower this year. Number one, I've got well-seasoned wood and with my wood stove being in the basement, it would act sort of as a safety mechanism of keeping the stove from getting too hot. I know this doesn't replace tending the stove properly and that the stove can still get away from you, but it just seemed like we would hit the blower when the stove started getting a bit too hot and then it just cooled the stove off way too much as it kept running manually when the fire died down. I found this one on the internet with a quick search but figured this would be the best place to check for value, effieciency, and reliability. Thanks for all the suggestions.

I just can't believe a wood stove with a blower option doesn't come with a thermostat and fan control. I guess that gadget would work. You would have to experiment as to where the best place to attach it would be.

Mine comes with a fan control but no temperature option.

I think that is basically just a rheostat that you don't have to wire into the stove, just plug the stove into it. It does not have a thermostat. The "temp" in dial-a-temp is kind of misleading. I think.

The Stovestat will turn it off and on for you. On at 100 off at 90. You adjust by where you put it on the side of the 30-NC. My old one fell apart after 18 years of use but it was on the side of a stove burned often over a thousand degrees that wasn't brick lined.
