I'm considering options on a DIY wood stove installation for my sister-in-law. I've decided that a woodstove wood be a littel better than an insert in her situation. My question is, can you take the legs off the Englander 13 so as to make it fit in the existing fireplace opening? Can you do that with any woodstove for that matter?

Your best bet is to PM mike or corey, I doubt they would not recommend it. However, I did cut about an inch off
my legs (the englander 13) to make it fit into the fireplace.
