Came across this video on Youtube. He calls the steel stove a box stove, any chance it is a Fisher? The door is flat steel but has the air inlet like the Fisher's. Coaly, others?

Homemade Baby Bear copy? The first Papas had a steel plate door, but would have the channel iron door seal. They originally had a pipe cap damper, and chrome knob. They had a shorter handle, and the ash fender is smaller due to the scrap piece of steel coming from the angled side piece cut out for the step top. The ash fender angles would match the side piece removed from the side at the step in the top. The same 1 inch channel iron used for the door seal was bent around the ash fender for edge cover / trim.
It's funny because the Fisher stove is probably one of the most copied stoves ever. All of the Fisher models were copied over the years, mainly because they were a reliable, heavy-duty stove. I agree with Craig, that looks to be a copy to me as well. Nice looking old stove, though!
