Sells for $55 on amazon and $17 on Meritline. Probably some sort of reproduction copy, but for $1, if it works, you can't go wrong...

Hell, for a dollar I figure its a deal even if it doesn't work. I expect the same quality as at Harbor (Chicom) Freight..

I should order 10 more. Then maybe a few of them will actually work?

Well I never found a need for one but geesh - I could not resist at $1. Test reviews coming - or a message that explains why it never arrived. I don't know if you can send a letter to China for a buck???

My HF moisture meter has been working like a champ for seven years.

The battery is worth more than a buck.

Like my auctioneer friend always sez ! "Those first ones that sold for a buck are junk ,,,,,,, this $11 one is the chit !!!"

See what a great guy I am for letting y'all in on this deal? I mean, its great amusement for a buck.

The smog must have cleared long enough in China for them to realize their mistake.

Yep - I received the same response from ebay as mikefromaine. So....I'm pretty new to ebay - do I just respond to the message and tell them to refund my money and not worry about it, or do I have to contact ebay directly for a refund? Cheers!

EDIT - just checked my e-mail - they already refunded my money - so, that's it!

Cheers!

And what was it my Grandpa always told me?? Oh yeah...."If it sounds too good to be true, it is!"

My grandpa always said 'reputation is easier kept than recovered'.

Pretty sure he would have honored the price quoted. And not come up with a poor me/pathetic girl/don't make me lose my job story to protect his reputation.

Agreed. I am posting negative Ebay feedback on them for this (for the lame excuse, not for making the mistake).

I got the same message today! I figured he would at least pay up for his screw up! O well we tried......

Let's do the math...they are selling them now for 11 bucks...they sold 20 at the 1 dollar price which means they would have screwed themselves out of a whopping $200.....wow $200....an UNBELIEVABLE loss.

I think, in reading this again, that this was just a scam to get you to buy something from them, they now give you 10% off, if you buy from them they make a sale on items they make a bigger profit on is my guess.
