Just came home from local Menard's..... They are selling Indeck Energy Pellets. Anyone know anything about them? Looked them up online but didn't get too much info....

Thanks,
CR

Had the opportunity to pick up 20 bags of these last spring, (2010/2011 Heating seasons production)
although a bit heavy on the ash I like them and they put out great heat.
Very very low dust and waste at the bottom of the bag.
Not sure what they are like this year but if Indeck reduced the ash a bit I would not hesitate to purchase the if available in this area.

.

Many of the TSC's are carrying them around where I live. pro's: Price-$175.00 a ton, low fines and dust, small pellets, and good heat. Con's-a bit ashier than I like. Overall, an average pellet that I would buy if I was out of pellets. Much better than most of the other box store pellets currently available this year, however.

2 years ago, they were all i burnt and was very happy with them! Then last year i ran into some that were not so good.... But several friends have been burning them this year and it seems they got their issues taken care of! Just my $.02....

Local TSC here in NEPA had these. I bought two bags for testing. They are asking $214/ton. The 2 bags I burned had lots of fines and dust, much more then the Prestlogs I am currently burning. The pellets themselves are short in length. They did seem to burn just as hot or slightly hotter then the Prestologs and had more ash then normal.

at this point I love them, hardly any dust in the bags I have opened so far. I dump a bag in a 5 gallon bucket so I can just top off when I go away and there is almost none in the bucket after 2 bags.
