I have to ask all you pellet stove owners to answer my poll on how you use/abuse (is there such a thing?) alcohol.

Having been in this business for five years I have found that after most installs of pellet stove we are offered a lot of booze. My customer (are awesome) tend to offer us a beer to a full mason jar full of the finest shine I have ever tasted. Please answer my poll to see how we line up.

After the job is done..... Always nice to relax and have a cold one.

Might be a good idea to have a few on hand. ;)

Hey I make the stuff. So the only one that comes close is the days ending in Y, however not every day and I have a very strict limit. I don't need another excuse for taking a geezer nap.

Eric,

Back a few years ago I was known for my ability to remain standing long after everyone else fell over or asleep.
I think it was due to my repeated liver seasonings over many years. I had that liver trained.

About 2-1/2 years ago I gave it all up.

Been dry since June 12th 2009 9:55PM not that I'm counting. :)

Now I watch others drink for me. I still hang out with the old gang as they kill 30 packs and I drink Crystal Light or Diet Coke. :(

Someday I'll go back.

I always offer any workmen/women that come to the house (not many) a cold one at end of job.

Fully believe in the Work Hard/Play Hard mantra.

Reading this thread just made me very thirsty. Hmmmmm Its saturday, its 80 degrees, the kids a behaving (somewhat). I think I'll have a beer. Cheers!

I only drink when I have a reason, lucky for me there is always a reason (golf, poker, game on tv, end of day, neighbor stops by, etc.) and the stove just added a new reason ;-)

Haha, I only drink when I'm alone or with somebody. I just tossed an empty before I sat down at the puter.

None for me for many years now. Doesn't mix well with medication. But no issue with those who do. I've seen some warm nights when a cold one would be very rewarding. Don't even get soda or fruit juice now. Wife and I go through gallons of ice tea we brew at home. A nice cup of coffee in the morning and I am all set.

A wise man once told me take everything in moderation........... including moderation.

Sons stopped by tonight for wifeys b-day and they brought some bud light platinums. Tasted pretty good. First alcohol since the holidays. Used to drink professionally, (every day) don't anymore.

I don't drink as much as I used to, But I still tip a few. More for taste now(the good stuff!), Than the old days when there was only one motive! Can you say Hammered? These days I don't need a drop to wake up feeling bad!

I don't drink anything stronger than pop, that old fart will drink just about anything.

I used to do more than my share, but then the wife got pregnant and couldn't drink so I gave it up too. I figured I'd grow up a little, was throwing back an 18 pack a night. Now beer gives me a migraine so its not worth it to me.

So is there an install going on (Dave and Deb)????

If so..... Then a new thread is a must. Don't forget the pics...

Till then... None of it ever happened.

(Your gonna like that Heatilator, glad you went with Eric).

Last night was St. Pat's and we had a few friends over for the usual Corned Beef and cabbage dinner. There was a lot of dark beer consumed, along with black and tans, and an occasional Irish car bomb.:D Where's the spell check?, I'm gonna need it today.

Yikes, I'm glad I don't have to spend any time with you today. I can almost smell the beer and cabbage farts from here.

I figured every person has a certain quantity of alcohol they can consume in a lifetime. (Some more than others) I reached my limit the year I sold our 36 foot boat and moved out of the marina (Boy, those guys know how to DRINK!). If my kids come over for dinner, or I have company, I will join them with a beer or two or a nice single malt scotch but I have to have my arm twisted :)

I'm liking this new format by the way!
