Gonna need em, they are calling for a cold snowy winter.

those look like "green gold" to me.not long more now

Another half ton (before the 1st frost)and you could ask for submission into the Pellet Pig Club......

Nice looking stash. Impressive to look at a stack that goes to the ceiling :)

This was going to be the year I bought 20 tons of pellets, but I just sold my house so it looks like I'll only be buying 10 tons again. :(

Next year though I'll have built my new house and I'll be a pellet pig!

FYI, I'll be heating two houses with pellets next. I just converted my duplex to wood pellets this year.

What level of pellet pig would I be with 20 tons?

Sonofabitch!!! Now I feel bad that I'm considered a hog. ;)

You'd be a hog well before the 20. We don't award hog status and only require 3 ton to become a member in good standing the rest is all pellet pig fun and games (we are a weird lot).

Thats what i will be doing by the end of the week. Went to HD before work today and bought 4 tons at $209 less my Veteran discount made them $188. A good friend has use of a flat bed truck to get all four tons home in one trip. Never burned any from HD in my Breckwell insert so I'm hoping they work out ok. I see mixed reviews here, but figure for the price it was worth the gamble.

I did 7 tons in my first year, which was last year. Enviro M55 ate up 3 tons of Green Supreme, 2 tons of Green Teams, 2 tons of LG's (softwood from Canada)

Will never do GS again. LG' are great.

This year I got 4.8 tons of Spruce Pointe so far. 269.00/ton

You burned 7 ton in one year!!!! In an M-55?!?!?!? Holy Chit!..!...!...!

What heat level were you running and how many sq ft heated (Ranch, 2 story, split level, are you heating from basement? )

and last year was mild for most...

Air infiltration can do that as can bad or no insulation a huge house or someone who likes being in a hot house as well as low BTU or very ashy pellets.

Yep I burned 2 ton last season (and 3 cord of wood/ 1st season with woodstove)

… or someone who likes being in a hot house.......

We keep it between 72°-76°, depending on outside temperature. My worst year was 2010-2011 and I used 4.5 ton, heating 2,200 sq ft. That was the last season with just the Quad. We bought the Fahrenheit and the 30-NC at the end of that season (Feb-March of 2011) . Last year we had several stoves. But in the 3 seasons prior, it wad the Classic Bay alone.

You'll like those Spruce Points. That's all I've burned for the past 3 years. All in all I've burned almost 30 tons of them. Each year I end up with about two pellet bags worth of some of the lightest, feathery ash and I've never had a clinker.

I blew thru 5 tons in my first year of a mild winter...If this year is a cold one, my wife may cook ten tons, and I will be happy! We built our house 18 years (give or take) ago and she will be happy to tell you that last year was the first year she was ever warm! PROPAIN ITA!;)

I heat 1600sqft. It's a listed as a colonial farmhouse. Its my wife, my now 2 year old(was 1 of course last year) and myself. We had the m55 on 3 when we were home and 2 during the day if we were at work. Two hrs before bed we would crank it to 5. Get thr temp to 86-88 downstairs and 82 upstairs(4 bedrooms). I would fill her up right before bed set it to 2-3 depending on how cold it is outside and we would wake up to about 72. It's like a beach party in our house. We love it.

Last spring I actually got one of those home energy audits done and got 2300.00 worth of air sealing and insulation for around 300.00 out of my pocket. I went from 3 inches of insulation on the attic to 12-15. Should make a huge difference in pellet usage.

Only turned the oil furnace on for 4 nights total when It was real frigid. The stove was the main supply.
