Thanks Bill. My stove is still pretty quiet even when it's running on 5 so I'm assuming I have the old one, but I will check. Is the old blower known for having issues? I ask because I'm wondering if it's worth having it changed while under warranty.

JBiBBs5, The older blower did have serious enough overheating issues (tripping the high heat sensor) partly due to members burning higher BTU pellets! I am a 2nd year newbie still learning the ropes but there are numerous threads that discuss this in great length....search M55 overheating. I am sure that some of the M55 pro's will assist you. I believe that the new fan which Enviro came out with to fix this issue completely addresses this issue. In my humble opinion, with the new convection blower, setting setting 1 out performs 2 on the old blower, and 2 out performs 3 easily. "When I say performs, I mean AirFlow. I use 3 as the default with the new blower and it really moves the air!!! I think 3 is louder than 4 and maybe 5 with the old blower, but my wife doesn't complain while watching TV. Setting 4 and 5 is like running an air conditioner...loud! BUT if the house is cold and you need serious heat in the shortest amount of time, you got it. I think it's safe to say the the the M55 went from one of the quietest stoves to now one of the most powerful stoves....just my opinion. Don't know what you have to do to get Enviro to swap out the blowers but I would think that they would want to help you out........Good luck, Bill
