Roospike,

Nice action clip. Now I know why my taxes are so high!

All day long I seen trucks with plows moving about and not a flake has fallen.

This is rather annoying....according to the radar I've been getting snow for 2 hours, so far not a flake. Spoke to a coworker in Albany, NY 2 hours ago and he was "4 hours" into it according to the radar/weather reports, but he also hadn't seen a single flake yet. This had not be one of those Fox News, the world is coming to an end reports. Last time they predicted an appreciable snowfall a few weeks ago, I was able to sweep the snow away with ease using a push broom.

Hopefully that statement will either further erode Fox's reputation for news, or even better will taunt nature into burying me in 5 feet or more of snow.....I'm very much hoping for the latter.

Also a heads up on the notes about profiles.....I know for certain my profile used to have my location on it, but I just checked and every part of my public profile was blank (e.g. location). I honestly hadnt looked at my own profile in a while, so not sure when it disappeared. Also maybe I deleted it myself by accident some night when sitting in front of the stove enjoying a single malt, I wont discount the possibility. :)

new to forum.. new hampshir nary a flake but promis of 2 feet pluss in manadnock region

My radar says it's overcast, yet it's been snowing for over an hour.......

HUH?

http://www.crh.noaa.gov/zones/MAZ010.php?zo=1

thats cute but unfortunately here in the valley we have some trapped dry air which happens to us all the time
It has been actually snowing since about 830-9pm but due to such dry conditions no one can see it falling
a heavy to moderate "band" of snow has already passed (it 1033pm) this is what happens to us here a lot
we will probably get more than the 2.5 side lol but more than likely in the 4-7 inch range
However, if we avoid the "changeover" then we could see more along the lines of 5-10 in some spots more
about 4 weeks ago a weatherman from the local station "swore" he saw snow coming and we were gonna get 2-4 inches........not even a flurry came!!
it went right over to boston
lololololol
But hey i have a candian honda snowblower so i hope and pray we get the 12+ theres nothing like p@@@@@@@@ off my neighbors throwing deep snow 20+ feet when its barely going let alone on high (on a good day i can throw over the cable wires)

Just started snowing here just north of Saratoga---predicting 4"-8" by daybreak and totals 16"-36" depending on what side of the street you're on. Very high winds kicking up in the middle of it all with maybe thunder and single-digits by Thurs. am. Scary.

Figures it happens now when just about all I have left to burn is popple, mixed it with all the weirdo odd-shaped freak pieces of whatever that I've been skipping over all winter. Gonna be a long day tomorrow---shovel the drive, come in to fill the stove and melt my hair---go out and shovel, come in to load the stove and thaw my toes---back out.....I think cocktail hour will come early.

"snow totals have been lowered to 3-6" (total snow and sleet) from Northampton down to Springfield"
ahhhhhhh i should have been a weatherman we just got maybe a 1/4 inch all that "snow" never made it .. it was too dry now its sleeting
d@@@ i was waiting for this storm all week

Yeah iceman, we got gipped too.
Icy roads though

As Usual, we get nothing. just a little ice on the cars. roads were pretty clear.

19 degrees here sleeting about 1/2" on the ground. If it goes to rain this cold ,it will be one hell of an ice storm.

I find the best way for me to avoid snow is to have my plow on and truck gassed up

So far staying all snow this way.... about 4 1/2" this morning when I headed in to work... At work in the Northampton area - about 3" or so, and snowing pretty good... about 17* out now.

I live in northeast Ohio, about 20 minutes east of Cleveland in a town called Mentor (44060). I just got to work about an hour ago and it was a slow drive. They are saying it is suppose to stop by late afternoon. The snow is blowing like crazy out here. Still visible, so not a white out...yet. From snow blowing my drive way I'd say we got 12-14 inches. It is blowing around so bad it's sometimes hard to tell. I'd say if you can take a day off go for it. I wish I would have.

Drive safe.

-Mike

Im hearing 30" where I am (Surry NH) Monadnock area.
Could be nasty later today.
Stay warm everyone!

Looks like about the same for us here in Deering, New Hampshire, to listen to the news you would think it never snowed before, Found this forum last night

Nothing at 5am when I got up....5" when I left at 6:45....due for 35mph winds, 26" snow, less than 1/4 mile visibility by this afternoon.

still flurries here, but the rain-snow line is fast approaching from the south. Maybe 1-2" at best here, barely even worth starting the snowblower.
