Do you leave your stove on when you are away from the house?

24/7 for me.

Oil furnaces have fire in them too you just don't think about it because they are usually in the basement where you don't see or think about them.

Yep - mine is on a thermostat so it will go on if needed (and off again). It's not a whole lot different than my furnace which might fire up at anytime (except now I keep it set at 55). Assuming you don't have anything flammable leaning against the stove you shouldn't have to worry about anything.

Most everyone is nervous about it when they are a newb.
After a short while you get used to it.
Mine runs 24/7 during the cold months.

I leave my stove on 24/7, it on when I leave for work, and running when I get home...

dont worry. With the Accentra, anything stops working it shuts off.

After you get used to it you will feel more comfortable about leaving the
stove running unattended longer and longer.

Yes, I feel safe enough to have it running when I am sleeping and it doesn't bother me to have it run when I am away.

Mine is on a thermostat 24/7. The only thing I worry about is it running out of pellets before I get back.

I make it a point to shut the stove off sometime in April, and then turn it back on sometime in October. Other than that it goes 24/7.
As others have said, it's just a matter of getting comfortable with your stove. My cats and I miss it during the warm weather months.

I have my Astoria on a programmable stat, and it comes on and off when needed during the day, even when no one is at home. No problems at all, and these stoves have a lot of safety systems built into them.

s, i routinely get up and go to work leaving my pellet stove runnig with my family still asleep. house is equipped with both CO and smoke detectors (which every house should have regardless of what heat source is used) i have every confidence i can trust the unit to do what its supposed to do whether its being stared at or left alone.

I thought once you hit the start button you could not touch it again until April. Who needs to clean the darn thing? You take a shower once a week. Clean the stove in April, right?

I leave mine on. when I'm gone overnight I will put the thermostat on hold at 62 D with oil backup on hold at 58 D. Even though I have come back to find it has run out of pellets. I have to remember to leave it really full.

We have the same stove as you do, and we are also new to this. We leave ours on 24/7 with no worries. You're going to love it! ;-)

We leave ours on too 24/7 in the colder months. My wife was easier to convince it was safe when we picked a couple of short trips of an hour or two away from home rather than 8+ hours away while at work.

When I bought my QuadraFire, it said to clean it daily.

I drive truck and am usually gone about 14 to 16 hours, and the pellets are gone before I get home, and the
stove shuts off. When I get home from work, I sweep out the ashes, load up some more pellets, reset the
button, and I'm toasty until I leave for work again. I clean it when I get home, it takes less than 5 minutes,
and the stove is cold and there are no hot ashes.

I have LP backup, which I set at about 58 so my house
plants and water pipes don't freeze while I'm gone.
