Holy cow! What the h*** is that? Looks like some sort of space alien's torture stove. You know, the one that has a conveyor belt slowly squeeking towards it. Attached to the conveyor belt is the movie's heroine screeming her lungs out. "Help, Help." Just in time the shows hero arrives and snatches her from imminent doom. You know. ;-)

Looks pretty scary to me!

The scariest part would be if that that thing works and we are making fun of it. His $100 investment vs. my/yours several thousand.

Hey if the thing works WTF the guy has been using it for 2 years supposedly, Do you think every pellet stove got a nice fancy graceful start no I don't think so. Do some research find out first if its a joke or not before bashing the seller and getting amusement or giggles from it, got nothing better to do go clean your stove!

No I would not want one in my house but hey if the plans are good and one could be built safe sure install it in a barn or shop. I see people make wood stoves out of oil drums!

I'm not impressed with the stove it's self, anybody can make a forced-air forge and put it in a box.........I wanna know how he get's ONE bag of pellets to last for TWO DAYS OF CONTINOUS BURN TIME !

I am all for creativity but a little stove paint, and quick clean up might help his sales a little.

Yup. If you know how to weld (and like to do it for fun), making your own stove is not that hard.

of course, if you're not as good a welder as you think you are, you could burn your house down (and the efficiency will be lower than professionally made)

Mind you, this isn't something I've done, but I work with electronics, and if I had the plans, I could easilly put together a low end computer from the chips, which is the same idea.

I've got stuff I've made and have often thought of selling plans on e-bay.
Nope. No detailed plans for a Garn, but there are a whole lot of wannabe fabricators and daydreamers who would spend a few bucks exploring their fantasy.
And he made his first one for $10. That's cool. He's giggling all the way to the bank.
Same with the guy with the processor plans. You guys have a giggle on him yet?

I've got to say that after seeing that ebay link and reading everyone's comments, I have not laughed that hard in a long time. Thanks for making my day!

To all the KNOW IT ALL @$$HOLES on this thread. Let me tell you a little something about MY PELLET STOVE PLANS. I live in a trailer. I don't have a ton of money unlike most of you have. I don't have a garage or a shed. All I had was an idea. The idea being I don't have to spend $1,000 for pellet stove. And I built it between working minutes at my place of enployment 0 from scrap. I worked out the bugs on it for 2 years, sitting outside because I don't have my own private space for that sort of thing. I spent less that $10 at first, and got it going. I have run this thing in my home for the 2nd year now. I don't have space to build a second one. I've tried to talk to companies about building a low cost professional model for you, Mr. average Joe consumer. Think about it, a pellet stove that cost $200-500 instead of $1,000+. They never wrote me back.

Now let me tell you a little something else....
I have a family to support. I'm the only one working. I live paycheck to paycheck. I collect WIC for the kid. I have creditors ringing my phone off the hook everyday.

My factory closed down for 2 weeks during Xmas, leaving me with just 4 days pay of for that WHOLE time. I came up the Ebay sale out of shear desperation! I would like to make things better but am limited to what can be done. Just like putting on the cheapest blower I could find.

Now compair a 747 to the first flight of the Wright brtothers. Well that thing is just stupid isen't it?
IN 100 YEARS, THE MOST IMPORTANT CAR IN HISTORY IS STILL THE MODEL T.

Now let me tell you. In 3 months of selling, I've made 100+ sales, I've collected $700 SO FAR... The plans are so cheap, that you can buy them just to satify your curiosity. Even if you think they are crap, Your only out $7. Tell me, what you can buy for $7? Not a lot.
I got one guy interested and is improving the plans for free untill things pick up. I just had another write about selling these stoves on a professional level.

I HAVE IDEAS FOR THINGS ALL THE TIME, BUT DON'T HAVE THE RESORCES TO SEE THEM TO REALITY. THIS MAY BE MY START TO BEING THE NEXT TOMAS EDISON.

So if you still want to make fun of me after reading this then....
