Check out the Portage & Main can be operated outside or in outside shed. I checked on gassers for 3 Mo. and have got a P & M comeing I think it will fill my needs just fine have talked with owners and all liked them. I have a Mohoning for 6 yrs was good but wood destroyer I think I will love the P & M from what I know of it. Heck I don't have it and allready like it.

When you say a "Wood Destroyer"
how many cords of wood are you talking??

I am north of you near the state line. You are welcome to make a road trip if you want to look at my econoburn. Do PM for details. If not, good luck !

Holy wood chips Batman!!!!!!!!!!!! 20 chords of split wood!?! OMG

Yep 20 and real cords I got a big old drafty sitting on-top of hill with nothing to stop wind. This rig run 24-7 for 6 years non stop it took 5' anything one could put into a 22"x22" door green dry wet
rotten it took it all cant complain but it rusted out. I have found out why by reading in this forum the reasons why if I had known more about OWBs it would still be going I sure. Will be nice to have the
Portage & Main hooked up give me a break I hope.

I just ordered a Portage and Main 250 Optimizer Gasifier last week... is that the model you have?? If so is it up and running yet? Thanks, East Tennessee

Spud, Check out http://garn.com/ These look incredible. Outside shed or garage. I would love to do one of these.

Yep the 250,just got it hooked up for first real winter test.Had it running for late summer as I installed a newer oil boiler so used it for DHW with a bulk milk tank for storage. It worked fine and soo little wood compaired to the other unit. Have had it going for two weeks now and not running the oil boiler, temp has been 180 and 71 in house time will tell as we have had mild weather in the East why it hasn't even froze here yet but it's cumming I know. You can E-Mail me if you wish. So far so good I am pleased with this unit.

Hey Spuddaddy. How did you make out? Did you decide on a boiler?
