Alternative Pellet Use

I was just wondering what else pellets could be used for ? I saw a thread using the bags for all kind of things - including some great gardening uses. How about the pellets ?

Any good as salt replacement on streets/paths ?

Good as wheight in the car in slippery condition ?

Usable as mulch or compost ?

In wall insulation material ?

Sand box ?

Any particular use more economic than others ?


Trying to collect some thoughts, I might have some left overs after the season. Thanks.

Save the left overs for next year, using them for anything else other than heat seems like a waste to me.

Save them.. Price is prob not gonna be as cheap as it was this year..

Only pellets I waste are the damp ones. Toss them in the compost bin.

My wife though it would be OK to us them for cat litter. Till I explained my unhappyness. >:-(
