I was doing my fourth (and final) break in fire to cure the stove and decided not to waste the heat and make lunch. I made venison pepper steak in the cast iron dutch oven my mom gave me as a gift for my upcoming promotion. I think it turned out great and the family took time out from schooling to enjoy it. Very simple to cook with this set-up and I look forward to using it for soup and chili because this will be perfect for simmering.
