Breckwell Insert Issue

I have been using my breckwell p24i insert for years. Lately it started burning pellts and the stopped dropping them, the the embers go out and it drops them again overflowing the pot. This has happened nearly everyday multiple times. I thought the auger motor may be tired so I bought another but theres no difference. I checked the auger for burrs but didnt find any. I know when I took the motor off there was a tiny bit of play in the auger if I pused of pulled on it. Any help would be great. I have to burn it on setting 5 in hopes of it not overflowing and going out.
